With 202 guest rooms, 3 full service restaurants, health and wellness spa, and dock this property sits directly on the shores of beautiful Lake Mendota.

Position Description:

Public area attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be friendly, honest, reliable, able to work under pressure, and address guest requests and problems.

Position Duties:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ability to perform all tasks of a Room Attendant, Housemen, and Public Area Attendant to hotel standards.
  • Constantly walks through meeting spaces and public areas, bathrooms, stairwells, hallways, and elevators to ensure cleanliness.
  • Responsible for cleaning internal windows and door glass for fingerprints and smudges.
  • Practice proper use, cleaning, and storage of cleaning equipment (carpet extractor, floor scrubber, etc.)
  • Vacuums and dusts floors, stairwells, furniture, windowsills, tables, chairs, and pictures.
  • Empties waste receptacles at main entrance, side entrances, and outside.
  • Report maintenance issues i.e. burnt light bulbs, leaking sink through Hot SOS.
  • Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets.
  • Practices safety procedures, including bending, lifting, and safe use of equipment.
  • Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to management.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High school; Experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak basic English.
  • Available to work weekends.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The associate is occasionally required to sit. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • OSHA requires the use of (PPE) to reduce associate hazards.
