At our waterfront salon and spa, we offer a full range of services in a luxurious, lakeside environment, all delivered by professionally trained health and wellness professionals. Whether your client is a local resident booking a spa day or a resort guest looking for a quick treatment, we offer something for everyone. From massages and facials, group fitness classes and personal training, we invite our guests to come for an hour or stay for the day. The Edgewater spa offers the highest quality of customer service delivered to our guests both in and out of services. The ideal candidate for this position will have exceptional organizational and managerial skills as this position is responsible for ensuring excellence in service and product in all facets of the spa and retail programs at The Edgewater.

  • This role oversees the daily operations of the Edgewater Spa offering and manages the team of work-class providers. They will work with other departments to combine their efforts to provide an active and relaxing Ranch experience.
  • This role will also oversee the two retail locations on property: the Edgewater Spa Boutique and The Market. They will work with retail associates, spa providers and baristas to manage sales and increase revenue.

What You Have

  • 3+ years in Management experience, preferably Spa and/or Retail and in a luxury resort setting.
  • Organized and efficient with a great eye for detail.
  • Warm, enthusiastic manner, with excellent interpersonal and guest relation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and management skills development and management of operating budget a plus.
  • Experience working with vendors and purchasing.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employment, civil rights, occupational health, and safety regulations.
  • Be physically able to perform the duties required. A caring, positive attitude with a genuine interest in helping clients.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve guest issues or complaints.
  • Communicating and multitasking skills, with the desire to work in a team environment.
  • A self-driven, entrepreneurial attitude towards achieving your goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of The Spa and The Market
  • Adhere to safety and sanitary protocols.
  • Interview, hire, train, supervise and evaluate all employees of spa and retail departments.
  • Guide and supervise on-going program development and staff training.
  • Work with Spa Director to manage inventory: loss prevention, profitability and conducting monthly inventory audits.
  • Participate in the development of the spa and retail operating budgets.
  • Have an eye for product placement and visual aesthetics to generate sales.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of Spa industry.
  • Conduct regular staff meeting for purposes of training, informing, and inspiring the staff.
  • Work with Spa Director on purchasing retail and operating goods.
  • Have a flexible schedule including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

This position operates in a full-service spa and professional office environment. The role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines and standard spa equipment, such as care products, massage table linens, cleaning equipment and supplies. This position requires evening/weekend work.
