Description:

The Salon Supervisor oversees and drives day to day Salon operations.  This position will maximize overall Edgewater Salon revenue though smooth and efficient delivery of quality service to our guests.   The Salon Manager motivates staff to provide the highest quality in service and care guests while ensuring labor and facility operations are optimized.

 

 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring superior quality of day to day Salon operations
  • Manage, train and in conjunction with HR, recruit Salon staff
  • Motivate staff in regards to individual development
  • Ensure timely and impactful performance evaluations of all Salon staff
  • Create adequate rosters for spa, salon, and fitness
  • Ensure customer experience excellence in service and facilities.
  • Assist Director in developing and maintaining annual budget and managing department payroll and labor forecasting
  • Chair team meetings, briefings, training sessions
  • Actively promote and sell spa/salon services
  • Monitor stock levels, order & receive stock, participate in monthly stock take
  • Coordinate treatment and service protocol creation
  • Address and resolve guest service and billing complaints by providing solutions in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Keep abreast of latest trends in fitness, salon, services and equipment
  • Have a flexible schedule including availablility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working in high end salon/spa/retail environment
  • 2 years operational management experience directly supervising employees and driving service levels and sales
  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing employment, civil rights, occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Prior service and/or product sales experience
  • Requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be physically able to perform the duties required
  • Possess a caring, positive attitude
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Have excellent people skills
  • Meet/exceed customer expectations
  • Have flawless hygiene, ethics and practices
  • Previous Spa Booker software experience a plus
