Presenting an outstanding opportunity to join the team at Madison's premiere luxury urban resort.  The Edgewater is a four diamond hotel and member of the Historic Hotels of America.  With 202 guest rooms, 3 full service restaurants, spa, fitness center, and dock this property sits directly on the shores of beautiful Lake Mendota. 


Position Description:

The Spa attendant plays a critical role  in the function of the Edgewater Spa and is responsible for knowing all services and amenities, greeting guests, conducting tours of the spa and fitness center, keeping all facilities neat, tidy with products stocked and filled in addition to coordinating guest experience upon arrival. The Edgewater demands the highest quality of customer service and the Spa attendant position reflects that in interaction with the spa guests throughout their spa and/or fitness experience. In addition, the Spa Attendant plays a supportive role as hotel concierge for the Langdon Building of The Edgewater Hotel.


Position Duties:

                                Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Welcome and escort guests to relaxation lounge and/or locker rooms. Provide instructions for using amenities, provide slippers, robes, towels and any other items needed. Conduct tours of the facilities for interested parties.
  • Maintain the following to Edgewater Standards: locker rooms, business center, spa, fitness facilities, laundry (dirty, clean, fold, stock) relaxation pool area, general areas
  • Perform all duties as listed on cleaning checklist, report items not completed & why
  • Cross train in reception role to cover breaks, offer support when needed
  • Be knowledgeable of all spa services
  • Report all items in need of repair/reorder to spa manager/spa director immediately
  • Provide outstanding guest service by offering water, tea, towels & ensure proper supply of all guest amenities.
  • Involve a manager in all guest concerns and complaints
  • Perform duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior guest service experience, preferably in a hotel, resort or spa.
  • Be physically able to perform the duties required
  • Demonstrate a caring, enthusiastic, positive attitude and passion for excellent customer service
  • Possess a strong work ethic, be detail oriented and effectively multi-task
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Have flawless hygiene, ethics and practices
  • Previous Spa Booker & Microsoft software experience a plus
  • Have a flexible schedule including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
